Thanks to our inaugural sponsor we will be abandoning the tradition of announcing the winners while standing on the footpath outside Crown Casino.

Exact details of the event are sketchy right now. Though, we can confirm we will be having an actual ceremony. The regular fixture of the brown carpet and a guarantee of it not being more than a three minute ceremony or any likelihood of the winners attending will be the same as always. What else will be happening at this culturally significant event? Ummm…we haven’t got around to it yet. We will eventually. Promise.

Though there are two things we will do everything in our power to make a part of this special event:

Ray Martin.

Rick Astley.

Now that Ray isn’t aligned to a television network he probably won’t get an invite to the Logies so why not get him to host The Fuglies?

And Rick Astley? Well, the current internet phenomena of Rick Rolling has brought the 80’s star back into our consciousness and surely Never Gonna Give You Up would be the best ever closing song performance for an awards ceremony.
